You'll feel like you're in a fancy land restaurant -- our meal lived up to the $75 price tag. Celebrity Beyond offers all that the Celebrity brand does so well — an adults-focused, luxurious experience with all the latest and greatest in cruising (if not the biggest). While this cruise ship might not be a perfect fit for everyone, it’s an excellent option for those seeking a high-end opportunity to relax, recharge and indulge at sea.

Even if you normally don’t consider yourself much of a foodie, it’s worth springing for dining at one (or all!) of these specialty restaurants aboard a Celebrity Beyond cruise. Regardless if you do, though, you’ll find plenty of dining options aboard this ship, and plenty of menu options at every spot. The Royal Suite features a small verandah but much more space inside, with 687 square feet.
Meet-ups for solos and LGBTQ+ passengers take place daily, and a Pride Night is held every cruise. The Oceanview Cafe buffet also has plenty of choices, at all hours of the day; the new bar at the pizza area, plus the proximity to the Sunset Bar makes it a nice choice if you want to stay casual. The Sunset Bar also has a new menu of $8 eats, such as hummus and flatbreads, for afternoon noshes. You have to search to find some venues; the Mast Grill is particularly hard to find on the Resort Deck, and many people forget about that healthy choices are available at both the Solarium and the Eden Cafe. If you are a light sleeper, do not book any of the aft-facing cabins on decks 7 or 8.

I was lucky enough to be on the inaugural voyage of Beyond, which included a 10-night Western Europe sail visiting Bordeaux, France; Lisbon, Portugal; Bilbao, Seville, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona, Spain. However, that being said, Beyond did offer some family-friendly services that are worth noting. Most useful is their Camp at Sea program which is open every day and offers fun games, outdoor activities, video game tournaments, and slumber parties for children ages 3-17.
Beyond, the third in the line’s Edge class series of ships, mixes affordability (drinks, Wi-Fi, and tips are always included) with an elevated yet unstuffy level of luxury better than any other vessel. The result is a refined experience on a meticulously designed, highly artistic ship, whether guests are sailing throughout Europe from Barcelona and Rome in the summer, or in the Caribbean in wintertime. The artwork—paintings, photography, sculpture—is the icing on this world-class cake.
“Arte” is a high-energy musical and acrobatic stage performance bringing to life iconic works of art such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Monet’s Water Lillies, but “Stage Door” is the real theatrical triumph on Beyond. In it, an enormous ensemble cast of singers and dancers perform a suite of Broadway tunes and rock-n-roll classics on stage, while on the massive 4K screen, a full symphony orchestra roars the show to life. Their performance was pre-recorded in the famed London Palladium, but the way its audio and visuals are incorporated into the live show is both innovative and mesmerizing.
It also is the very first Celebrity cruise ship to offer SpaceX Starlink internet service. You can’t talk about the Celebrity Edge series without giving a shout out to the Magic Carpet. Debuting first on Edge and back again on Beyond, the Magic Carpet is a tennis-court sized platform nestled against the side of the ship, literally floating above the ocean. On the Magic Carpet, you can have food and drinks with the truest of uninterrupted views. As its position changes throughout the sailing, you’ll find new, distinct experiences at every turn. With two pools, multiple hot tubs, and two smaller infinity plunge pools, your water activities are many.
