Solo travelers can select a 184 square-foot Edge single stateroom, which includes 42 square feet via the Infinite Veranda. Connecting staterooms are an option for those traveling in large families or groups, while Aqua Class and Retreat Level cabins and suites enjoy exclusive access to private restaurants, lounges, pools, hot tubs, and the spa’s Thermal Suites. AquaClass staterooms, more than 240 square feet—are huge by cruise ship standards, and bathrooms, which are generously sized as well, feature a two-person soaking tub.

These are some of the names and brands affiliated with the latest ship from Celebrity Cruises, the 3,260-passenger Celebrity Beyond. The Club is a two-story space for dancing to ’80s tunes and swinging with Sinatra at night, and playing trivia (including Captain Kate’s Bug Naked cat trivia) during the day. The third ship in Celebrity Cruises' revolutionary Edge Series, Celebrity Beyond takes its innovative outward-facing design further than ever, creating an even closer connection between you, the sea, and every exciting place on the horizon.

Fellow Passengers
Penthouse Suites have smaller verandahs, but nearly double the space inside, at 1,378 square feet. There’s a primary bedroom, guest bedroom, two bathrooms, a dressing room, dining area and private hot tub. Grab a drink at the bar, prop up a pillow on a lush couch, and watch the sun go down over the ocean. Non-premium beers, spirits, cocktails, liqueurs, frozen drinks, and wines by the glass, plus sodas, juices, specialty coffees, teas, and bottled water are part of the cruise experience. Be sure to enjoy a cocktail at the Aft, worth it to check out the stunning design alone. Like other Edge-class ships, Celebrity Beyond features Eden, a 270-degree, three-deck observation lounge[10] which features a ramp connecting decks 5 and 6, in addition to a cafe, a bar, and a dining venue.
Princess Cruises Teams Up to Offer Easy Transportation to Florida Ports
The ship is also fitted with the Magic Carpet tender dock, designed to prevent hull collisions while anchored offshore. While sailing, the Magic Carpet is equipped with a bar and can be used as a patio,[11] when positioned at three different decks (Decks 5, 14, and 16). You'll find Americans and Brits as the primary passengers on Celebrity Beyond, although the ship does draw from a diverse international base.
Staterooms
From the butlers in AquaClass to the bartenders, servers, buffet line crew, and those helping guests book their excursions or future cruise vacation, Celebrity makes every passenger feel like, well, a celebrity. The star of Celebrity Beyond's dining is Le Voyage, the first restaurant at sea from Daniel Boulud (who has his own Michelin stars). It's a stunning space, with dishes inspired by Boulud's international travels; the French menu has Thai, Brazilian and other global touches. You'll feel like you're in a fancy land restaurant -- our meal lived up to the $75 price tag. Celebrity Beyond offers all that the Celebrity brand does so well — an adults-focused, luxurious experience with all the latest and greatest in cruising (if not the biggest). While this cruise ship might not be a perfect fit for everyone, it’s an excellent option for those seeking a high-end opportunity to relax, recharge and indulge at sea.
Captain
Even if you normally don’t consider yourself much of a foodie, it’s worth springing for dining at one (or all!) of these specialty restaurants aboard a Celebrity Beyond cruise. Regardless if you do, though, you’ll find plenty of dining options aboard this ship, and plenty of menu options at every spot. The Royal Suite features a small verandah but much more space inside, with 687 square feet.
Meet-ups for solos and LGBTQ+ passengers take place daily, and a Pride Night is held every cruise. The Oceanview Cafe buffet also has plenty of choices, at all hours of the day; the new bar at the pizza area, plus the proximity to the Sunset Bar makes it a nice choice if you want to stay casual. The Sunset Bar also has a new menu of $8 eats, such as hummus and flatbreads, for afternoon noshes. You have to search to find some venues; the Mast Grill is particularly hard to find on the Resort Deck, and many people forget about that healthy choices are available at both the Solarium and the Eden Cafe. If you are a light sleeper, do not book any of the aft-facing cabins on decks 7 or 8.
Celebrity Beyond Rooms Include New Suites with Expanded Retreat, Watch for Overhang
Because the top deck on Celebrity Beyond stretches a bit over the ship itself, many of the rooms on the higher deck don't get any sun on their balconies (infinite or otherwise). If you like to sit outside on your own deck for sun, you'll want to avoid these, as well as the rooms that sit underneath the Magic Carpet. The Sunset Bar at the back of the ship is the most notable renovation on Celebrity Beyond. American designer Nate Berkus has transformed the space into a terraced, two-deck area heavy on Moroccan and Mediterranean influences. It's a fabulous place to linger, not just at sunset but even during the heat of the day, as there is plenty of shaded seating.

Still, that just means more overall space for you, and a greater cruiser-to-cruise-ship-space ratio. Celebrity Beyond offers the widest range of staterooms and suites in our fleet. I was lucky enough to be on the inaugural voyage of Beyond, which included a 10-night Western Europe sail visiting Bordeaux, France; Lisbon, Portugal; Bilbao, Seville, Malaga, Palma de Mallorca, and Barcelona, Spain. While a majority of these destinations are relatively easy to get to sans-ship, they’re all topnotch cities and worth exploring no matter how you get there.
It’s for cruisers who want dining, pool areas and other venues away from the main cruising crowds. Celebrity is known for its adult-first experiences, lots of inclusions, and high-end luxury, from the staterooms and suites to the restaurants and other venues. This is what you’ll find — plus more — during a cruise on the new Celebrity Beyond cruise ship.
Check your cabin against the ship's deck plan carefully, and choose the layout that puts the beds closer to the balcony, if possible. Kids may find that they need to retreat to the various kids venues on Celebrity Beyond if they really want to find activities catered to their needs. Aqua Sky Suites are the same size, but come with all of the amenities and services you’d get with the AquaClass in general, including special bedding, eco-friendly bathroom products and more. Tasting menus start at $75 per person for three courses and go up to $239 if you do a full Chef’s Table experience with wine pairings. Even before Boulud’s involvement, Celebrity Cruises was the only cruise line with a wine cellar that has been recognized by Wine Spectator magazine. What do interior designer and TV personality Nate Berkus, Gwyneth Paltrow’s wellness brand Goop, star French chef Daniel Boulud, Olympic athlete Simone Biles, and Peloton all have in common?
Captain Kate McCue is also the first American woman to captain a "Mega" cruise ship. The ship features a spa and a fitness centre that overlooks the sea from above the wheelhouse. AquaClass lovers also have a new choice in rooms, with Sky Suites that combine the spa amenities of the category with Retreat access and personal concierge service. Still, we were surprised that the AquaClass upgrade didn't come with any changes to Blu, the dedicated restaurant. That said, be careful with where you book your suite, or room, particularly if you're a sun lover.
There’s one bedroom, two bathrooms and space for four cruisers to live, sleep and play comfortably, plus a private plunge pool and direct access to The Retreat’s sundeck. Celebrity Beyond features delicious culinary experiences, including a new restaurant by the world-renowned chef, Daniel Boulud. And, guests will delight in the plush AquaClass Sky Suites, which combine the best of AquaClass stateroom experiences with the luxurious spaces, services, and amenities of The Retreat. However, that being said, Beyond did offer some family-friendly services that are worth noting. Most useful is their Camp at Sea program which is open every day and offers fun games, outdoor activities, video game tournaments, and slumber parties for children ages 3-17.
Beyond, the third in the line’s Edge class series of ships, mixes affordability (drinks, Wi-Fi, and tips are always included) with an elevated yet unstuffy level of luxury better than any other vessel. The result is a refined experience on a meticulously designed, highly artistic ship, whether guests are sailing throughout Europe from Barcelona and Rome in the summer, or in the Caribbean in wintertime. The artwork—paintings, photography, sculpture—is the icing on this world-class cake.
“Arte” is a high-energy musical and acrobatic stage performance bringing to life iconic works of art such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night and Monet’s Water Lillies, but “Stage Door” is the real theatrical triumph on Beyond. In it, an enormous ensemble cast of singers and dancers perform a suite of Broadway tunes and rock-n-roll classics on stage, while on the massive 4K screen, a full symphony orchestra roars the show to life. Their performance was pre-recorded in the famed London Palladium, but the way its audio and visuals are incorporated into the live show is both innovative and mesmerizing.
It also is the very first Celebrity cruise ship to offer SpaceX Starlink internet service. You can’t talk about the Celebrity Edge series without giving a shout out to the Magic Carpet. Debuting first on Edge and back again on Beyond, the Magic Carpet is a tennis-court sized platform nestled against the side of the ship, literally floating above the ocean. On the Magic Carpet, you can have food and drinks with the truest of uninterrupted views. As its position changes throughout the sailing, you’ll find new, distinct experiences at every turn. With two pools, multiple hot tubs, and two smaller infinity plunge pools, your water activities are many.
